Gopher Black details
At its heaviest, Gopher Black leans fully into the family’s quirky reverse-contrast idea. The thickened horizontals and confident geometry create a dense, almost blocklike color that feels playful rather than ponderous. Compared to the lighter weights, the contrast reads louder and more graphic, giving short words real presence and turning simple phrases into bold statements. It pairs naturally with Gopher Text for smaller copy or with mid-range weights for layered hierarchy, where Black can anchor the page while the others articulate structure. In Display settings, it becomes unapologetically expressive—big, bright, and impossible to ignore.
